Skills Assessment for Skilled Visas in Australia
To be eligible for most of the skilled visas in Australia, you must be qualified in one of the relevant occupation lists. You must obtain a positive skills assessment for your occupation issued by the relevant assessing authority.
Different industries have different assessing authorities. Here are some of the major industries and their respective assessing bodies. You can visit their website to check their assessment procedures, timeframes, and processing fees.
VETASSESS
Vetassess is a provider of vocation education and training (VET) skills assessment for both migration and national skills recognition.

TRA
TRA is a skills assessment service for people with trade skills gained overseas or in Australia for the purpose of migration. You must obtain a successful MSA outcome for your visa application for migration purposes.

ENGINEERS AUSTRALIA
If you want to migrate to Australia as an engineer, Engineers Australia is the body that will need to assess your skills as suitable for work in Australia. You will need a migration assessment outcome letter for your visa application.
